I just discovered that NYT home delivery subscribers do, in fact, have access to the "premium" crossword puzzles. (They didn't a few months back.) So I just solved online for the first time.
MonNYT 4:29 (!) --- I know they say that solving online is faster, but I'm going to have to learn how to navigate around the grid, since that puzzle would easily have been under four minutes on paper. I lost a lot of time figuring out that when I was advancing to the next clue I was also changing the direction of entry.
OTOH, I'm finally going to start doing acrostics again! (Double-entry on paper is too frustrating.)
