So the Starbucks tiebreaker has been out for over an hour. The answers I'm sure of are fewer than the fingers on one hand. And ACPT multi-time champion [livejournal.com profile] qaqaq says he had the answer in about 10 minutes.

So there's my answer. I'm not even close to the top solvers.

Oh, well, it was still fun.

I hope the winner was someone I know, and I hope (for all our sakes) that Qaqaq's suspicion that the winner took a wild guess turns out not to be the case.

I'm sure you still did better than the vast majority.

How kind of you to say. But (a) the "vast majority" were already eliminated, (b) I wanted to gague how far back I am from the elite, (c) I had FOUR correct words after ONE HOUR.

Two in Forty-Five

I had two words I was sure of in forty-five minutes (and of course, answers I knew but didn't get how to put them in the grid, which was probably your issue as well), so you weren't the worst.

Did they actually issue rankings?

No official rankings, but the community has been comparing notes on various blogs. (And I should refine my earlier stats: I had 4 entries about which I was certain; about a dozen of my other guesses were correct. Nothing to be ashamed of for someone solving alone.)
