What a day.
Sep. 7th, 2006 07:44 pmTani had conjunctivtis (pinkeye) over the Labor Day weekend. Heather got it Monday and yesterday was my day. Today I went to the doctor and he prescribed some lovely antibiotic and anti-itch eyedrops. I'm feeling so much better now. Yay, drugs. He said I could go back in to the office tomorrow.
And today I finally got my car back, about 8 weeks after it was nearly totalled in a four-car rear-end accident. (I don't think either introverte nor I posted anything about this; there wasn't much to say. She was stopped at a red light, alone in the car, and no one was hurt in the accident, but I've been coping with a Ford Fusion for two months thanks to the other driver's insurance company, Liberty Mutual. What a horrid car that was, but it was better than nothing. And a big thanks to Liberty Mutual for providing me, not a customer of theirs, with a replacement vehicle within one day and letting me keep it for seven weeks, whlie the body shop kept on plugging away.)
And Tani started kindergarten at JCDS yesterday. So far, he's thrilled to be there. I would be, too. :-) On the classroom wall, one of the signs says איזה הוא חכם--הלמד מכל אדם which is one of my favorite Mishnaic sayings (Avot 4:1) -- "Who is wise? One who learns from all people." I love this place.
