And a happy Purim it was, too.
Mar. 5th, 2007 09:16 amHighlights (and a lot of kvelling):
Tani standing just outside the door to the man room at shul Staurday night, poised and ready. Each time the ba'al k'riyah chanted Haman's name, Tani would run screaming up the aisle and then back outside the door, ready for the next one.
Leaving shul Saturday night, pointing at the moon, and explaining a lunar eclipse to Alissa --- and the look on her face as she got it and said "coooooool!"
We hid presents under the kids' beds, and left a note hanging from Tani's doorframe saying "LOOK UNDER YOUR BED." We woke up to the sound of him in Alissa's room, saying "Alissa! Wake up! Maybe there's a present under your bed, too! There was a note in my room and I read it and there was a present!" (I think he realized this is the first time he read something he'd never seen before, with no pictures to help him, and no grownup there to prompt him.)
At our Purim party, having seven kids (ages 2-7) playing upstairs nicely and cooperatively for three hours, while the adults hung around the buffet and schmoozed.
