24 hours ago, to within a few minutes, we pulled away from [livejournal.com profile] abbasegal's and [livejournal.com profile] dodajen's house in Efrat. We just walked in the door. A lot of catching up to do. We had a great time, and to be honest I wasn't getting homesick, but it's quite pleasant to be sitting at my own table.

After I get some groceries and the mail and have had some lunch[*], I'll unlock the last two weeks of entries and write up our flights and our delightful couple of hours in the lobby of JFK terminal 3 with my parents.

ETA: * - Yes, I know it's the tenth of Tevet. Fasting on top of 24 hours of travel, which included three separate spans of 45 minutes of sleep, and a 7-hour time shift to boot, is not a Good Idea.

If you're not on my friends list and have been wondering why I've been silent for the last two weeks, it's because we were in Israel, and I'm neurotic enough not to post that publicly until I've returned. I just marked all those posts public, but I don't know how your RSS reader will handle it. So, if you want to know how our trip was (and it was amazing), start with the first post and work your way forward with the little green arrow at the top of each page.

And, of course, if there's something I should have seen over the last two weeks, you may wish to point it out to me here.
