What day is it, anyway? (Newton, Day 1)
Jan. 6th, 2009 12:53 pm24 hours ago, to within a few minutes, we pulled away from
abbasegal's and
dodajen's house in Efrat. We just walked in the door. A lot of catching up to do. We had a great time, and to be honest I wasn't getting homesick, but it's quite pleasant to be sitting at my own table.
After I get some groceries and the mail and have had some lunch[*], I'll unlock the last two weeks of entries and write up our flights and our delightful couple of hours in the lobby of JFK terminal 3 with my parents.
ETA: * - Yes, I know it's the tenth of Tevet. Fasting on top of 24 hours of travel, which included three separate spans of 45 minutes of sleep, and a 7-hour time shift to boot, is not a Good Idea.
