So, what have I been up to?
Jul. 14th, 2008 09:00 pmWe just (as in 2 minutes ago) released the latest version of Adobe Buzzword. And so now I can talk about the feature I've been working on for the last two months:
Buzzword now offers spell-checking in 19 different languages (well, not quite 19 languages, because that's counting national variants such as US vs UK English, and temporal variants such as pre-1996 and post-1996 German, as separate entries). And I personally wrote all 19 dictionaries. Well, no, of course not, but I did quite a bit of work against a short schedule to implement an efficient spell-checking library in Flash for us to use.
I'm proud of the work that I did, and I'm really excited to have been able to contribute a feature that will make lots of users happy -- and to do so in such a short time after starting at Adobe.
