We watched Helvetica last night. It was quite interesting.

The subtitles were in a really crappy version of Helvetica, which was a disappointment. And they didn't even mention the "generic" packaging of the 1970s, which is when I become aware of the oppressing omnipresence of Helv.

But the movie did give me a bunch of ideas for a book-design project that I've undertaken for my shul's twenty-fifth anniversary. (Not that I'm going to do the whole thing in Helvetica, mind you, but it made me realize that I was defining the project's design universe too narrowly.)
