So I was going to caution you that an HDTV might not be relevant, because the PBS HD channel doesn't generally have the same "major" programs as the regular version. It turns out, though, that they will be airing this particular show on the HD channel several times this month. I doubt it would be quite worth the trip for you, but if you think you might actually want to see it in HD, and my place would suit, let me know and I can snag one of the rebroadcasts against that day ....
