megillah2a will have noticed a lack of posts since last Wednesday (which kinda defeats the goal of keeping up with the Daf schedule). I've been busy spending countless hours chopping ice. (Yes, since Wednesday.) There is now a clear path from my front door to the sidewalk. There is room in the driveway for two cars --- and both cars are now liberated from their ice tombs. (It took me 90 minutes to free the Accord on Thursday morning, and about 30 minutes to free the Odyssey today. Tires iced into 2" of frozen slush are Not Good.)
In other failures to accomplish stuff this week: I have not used my new recorder to record any of my music, I have not edited my siddur, I have not constructed any more puzzles nor composed any more music. I have not folded the piles of accumulating clean clothes. I have not worked on any of my non-work-related software projects. I have not prepared anything humorous for Purim.
הַנֹּתֵן שֶׁלֶג כַּצָּמֶר; כְּפוֹר, כָּאֵפֶר יְפַזֵּר. מַשְׁלִיךְ קַרְחוֹ כְפִתִּים; לִפְנֵי קָרָתוֹ, מִי יַעֲמֹד
And there's still a lot of ice left to get rid of. On the other hand, this week should be warmer:
יִשְׁלַח דְּבָרוֹ וְיַמְסֵם; יַשֵּׁב רוּחוֹ, יִזְּלוּ-מָיִם
