rhuWe just got a phone call from our neighbors, urging us to rush outside and see the family of ten wild turkeys meandering up the street.
We've been reading Peter Pan to the kids lately; at one point I mentioned that Smee often shows up in the crossword puzzle. So today I saved 8-Down for the end, and then read Tani the clue and let him letter in the last four squares. He was thrilled.
We were reading Time of Wonder by Robert McClosky and got to the sentence "In the quiet of the night one hundred pairs of eyes are watching you, while one pair of eyes is watching over all." Tani turned to me and said, "He couldn't write God or Hashem or Jesus because this way whoever's reading the book can think he's talking about the god they believe in."
