I've been trying to get a silver dollar coin before Tani loses his first tooth (shouldn't be long now). I can get Susan B. Anthonies (pl?), Sacagaweas, or the new Georges. But Eisenhowers, which are the big impressive coins that make a toothless kid feel like a thouthand buckth, have disappeared from circulation. Sigh

Ah, yes. My grandfather used to give us those as Hannukah gelt: one for each year old we were. I don't know where he could have gotten so many (he has seven grandchildren).

I think in my mom's house, i still have a ton of those coins. My dad got me into coin collecting at an early age. if you need any, I'll see if I can help. We're visiting her Sunday to Monday.
