Today's NYT has a special auxilliary magazine section called "Key" which is about real estate. The cover image is a network of cities, with some of the interconnecting lines brighter than the others, forming the shape of a key. At the center of the keyhead is "Boston". (Click on the above link to see the image online.)

I'm curious --- did they regionalize this? Do NYC residents see New York at the center?

unless they did an *entirely* different cover, the "making the cover" article on that page makes it pretty clear that this design was all the (MIT Media Lab) designer had time for...

Shows you how effective it was. I assumed it was an arbitrary representation of airline network connections and that they could swap in any string they wanted for the center. (And, not being interested in real estate, I didn't really look beyond the cover.)
