jedusor has posted an announcement of team signups, including for unmatched people seeking a team. Before I toss my hat into that ring, I'll remind y'all that I hope to participate this year (starting at 5:30 Saturday) and I'd rather serve with people I know than with strangers, so....

Well, I can't invite you to my team (because I'm on Palindrome, the constructing team), but I would strongly advise you to include your areas of expertise etc in your offer. If you check the MIT archives, you'll note that it requires a very wide range of knowledge; if teams know that you're an expert on military history, or know how to solder, or can speak ten languages, they'll be more likely to see how you can contribute. Simply being good at word puzzles isn't going to be a huge draw for NPL heavy teams, just because it's the area they're strongest in.
