Colbert didn't do "The Word".... :-(

Project Runway was interesting. I loved the idea behind this challenge. The Met is an amazing place, and I can only imagine what it would be like to have the place to oneself. We were surprised that they allowed flash photography of the paintings, though. And while the Temple of Dendur is an amazing place, I'm not sure what sort of fashion inspiration one can get from it (as opposed to the whole Egypt wing leading into it).

Maybe these designs just didn't translate well on TV, because the only one I liked was Jillian's. Christian's came across as schlumpy and unfocused. Chris's looked like his model has a large Glad trash bag on her shoulder.

I was satisfied with the resolution, though. One wonders whether Rami will develop a collection that has eight draped dresses, plus three others that he uses to qualify. And perhaps I'm just not sufficiently fashion-conscious, but can one really be that "passionate" about draping? That sounds like me saying I'm passionate about IEnumerable.

Not only that, but he didn't eat a bug.

I've eaten one of Dave's bugs - and he's brought them to potlucks at my house, where quite a few of my guests were clearly braver than Steve.

I actually predicted what would happen at the end. Go me! If you want to see how everyone's collections looked at Bryant park, go here.

He's not gonna do The Word again until they're officially up and running again with the pre-strike crew in place, right? So we'll have to wait until A Daily Show goes back to The Daily Show and The Colbert Report goes back to making the T's silent.

That was last night. The writers even came onstage. But I guess it takes a day or two to get the Word through the machine....

Ahhh I didn't see that. I caught the beginning of Jon Stewart and saw it was still ADS so I shut it off to watch later this week.

You should have stuck it out for five minutes. He did a big deal about blowing up the "A" and restoring the "The".

"Ah, definite article, how I've missed thee!"
