I wonder....

Does UPS have so many packages coming to Cambridge via Hartford that they pre-load the truck there and just mark the whole truck when they switch drivers in Somerville?

Hey, gang, remember a few weeks ago when I asked for ideas about hooking up multiple headphones to one source? I should have realized that this is a common problem, and there exist products to do exactly this.

Sunday at 3pm I ordered one from B&H. Monday at noon it was on a UPS truck. Half an hour ago it got here. (UPS Ground from the big NYC electronics stores has always arrived as though it were next-day air.) Tonight I'm recording with the trio.

[Just in case, I scoped out Guitar Center last night. I don't think I've ever felt so intimidated by a bunch of laid-back salesmen in my life. And yes, they were all men; I'm not being sexist.]

Problem solved. Thank you, Tim B-L.

The rough mix of Dad's Boat (a patter song for Noah's three sons) is now up at http://www.biblebystanders.com/DadsBoat/ Thanks to Steve Ebstein, Peter Squires, and Martin Wahl for their vocal talents. I hope you'll find this song amusing.
