I have a bunch of ideas for flats relevant to the November theme, not enough time to work on them (and some of them may be overconstrained but I don't know if the problem is that they're impossible to construct or just very hard), and there were too many last-minute changes to the CST book that I had to make last night so I didn't get to work on my flats (and the book still isn't done. I feel like Zeno's kids asking "are we there yet?"). And the deadline is tonight. Phooey!

One of the enduring images of my youth is Rabbi Israel Moshowitz, ztz"l, ascending the bimah on Yom Kippur clad in his black robe, dark suit, and white cloth tennies. (Wearing leather shoes is prohibited on Yom Kippur.)
Now, we have Crocs. (Actually, I don't, but I think I'm going to get a pair before next year.) The combination is just as incongruous, only now it's in Technicolor.
(And an obligatory pun: I just took my Sudafed hamafseket.)
