Many of you, I know, are regular NaNoWriMo participants. Allow me to suggest that this year you try using Adobe Buzzword. I think the main reason Buzzword is well-suited for NaNoWriMo is that you can invite friends to review your work in progress and add comments in the margins, without having to email copies around and deal with someone critiquing text you've already revised. (If you're working on a team, in fact, you can even allow everyone to edit the text directly.)

Secondary benefits include that your novel is stored "in the cloud", not on your computer, so you can work on it from any computer and we'll deal with backing it up for you; you can easily save it as a PDF when you're done; we've heard from a lot of people that our visual appearance, with our emphasis on capturing the feel of working on a real page and providing polished yet fun tools, encourages writers to get past writer's block. And your teeth will be whiter when you're done. (OK, not really, but I realize I'm getting a little too much into salesman mode now.)

Kidding aside, I hope you'll sign up for a free account and try using Buzzword for NaNoWriMo. (And I'd love to hear feedback, both good and bad.)

ObDisclaimer: I work on the Buzzword product, but this isn't an official Adobe pronouncement. They don't even know I wrote this. (Until the Google Alert fires. :-)
