MIT Hillel

rhuSo Thursday night I attended my first board meeting for MIT Hillel. It was interesting; I've been on several non-profit boards and I must say that I was very impressed by the businesslike way that it seems to be run.
It feels good to be giving back to the MIT community again. When I was a student, it was a point of pride that I spent time contributing time to various service activities (UMOC, SIPB, etc.) and it's nice to once again be able to do that.
It was also interesting walking across campus feeling like I had more of a connection to the 'Tute again. I'm not just an alumnus anymore, but I have a role in the larger scheme of things.
