Ten years ago, I feared I'd never become a father. Today I am blessed with the overflowing love of two children of whom I am unbearably proud.

Of all the changes in the last decade --- especially the warmth and caring of dozens of new friends through the National Puzzlers' League and MIT Mystery Hunt/II&F, through LiveJournal and Facebook, through Zamir and Shaarei Tefillah and JCDS, through Bitstream and Adobe --- friendships for which I am deeply grateful --- my children are the one change that bowls me over.

Schopenhauer wrote, "The first forty years of life give us the text; the next thirty supply the commentary on it."

So fire up the Rashi font and place the cursor in the marginalia, because this is gonna be one helluva fun ride!
