Yesterday morning I spent at the B&O Museum. It was pretty cool, with a great collection of rolling stock and excellent signage.
In the afternoon, I went to the Walters Art Museum with Uncanny, Moosemitts, Spiel and his wife, and Hot. We had in hand a wonderful puzzle by Anomaly which required visiting most of the museum to obtain words which came together to form clues to a cryptic. A great museum, a great puzzle, and a wonderful team-solving experience. Everyone brought something different to the effort.
I hung out the Roman room, did Spelvin's cryptic and chatted with Saphir for a bit.
(I should add that I co-solved the first of Uc's cryptics with Capital R Wednesday night after the ice-cream social. Very enjoyable, and I'm looking forward to doing parts 2, 3, and 4.)
H and the kids arrived just as introductions were starting. I ran out to help unload the car, then I brought the kids back with me to the main room so H could have some time. The icebreaker games were fun. Qoz's build-a-clue was clever, and the kids got into it. T McAy's game was brilliant, and the kids and I formed a team of three. They had a great time and did pretty well at drawing from memory (especially Alissa).
After we put the kids to bed, I went back to the Roman room and found Tahnan; we co-solved Tinhorn's officical con cryptic. A nice puzzle, and it's always a pleasure to co-solve with Tah.
And around 1:40 I went to bed.
