Bringing "The Two Towers" everywhere we go has been the best way to get the kids to not care about long lines.

One of the greatest benefits, IMHO, of having a PDA or other pocket-sized computer, is the ability to store lots of reading material in my pocket. And yes, I keep stuff for the kids in there too.
