I don't quite understand what makes the huggable hangers different from any other hangers.

I have some sort of sock clips but never got myself in the habit of using them. The other 2 items are things I use all the time, though.

The "huggable" hangers are very thin but covered in velvet (or a velvet-like material) so I can pack my shirts in really tight and still pull out one hanger without the adjacent shirts tumbling to the floor.

I used to use the circular sock holders with the plastic teeth; I didn't like them. The teeth first made holes in the socks and then broke off. The "sock cops" are like binder clips for socks; they don't seem to damage the socks at all and they're much more durable. The downside is that it can take a lot of finger strength to pry them open.
