You know what the scariest part of that movie is, based on the one TV ad I saw last night during The Daily Show?

They go back in history... to the 1980s.

Whippersnappers.

I remember the first time I saw time travel into the past to a year I actually remembered. It was in the 1989 movie Field of Dreams, when Kinsella finds himself in 1974. It freaked me out that 1974 was considered a legitimate year for time travel.

Are people actually nostalgic for the 80s? What on earth was there in that decade to be nostalgic about? Ronald Reagan? AIDS? Big hair?

The one good thing I remember about the 80's was that, after living through the 60's and trying to get straight in the 70's, I finally "grew up", in the 80's. Of course, I don't remember much of what we did in the 60's... :o)

They aren't that whippersnappery; one of them, after all, was in a whole lot of 80s movies in the 80s. (And I'd lay money that there's some reference in the film to one of them, probably Better Off Dead.)
