In "Honesty", Billy Joel has a brilliant moment where the final syllable of one verse is also the first syllable of the refrain. "'cause you're the one that I depend up{on/Hon}esty...."

Surely there's a technical name for that. Anyone?

I don't know. It reminds me of an effect in the Who song "Bell Boy", in which Keith Moon sings "Always running at someone's heeeeeeeel...", holding the the final falsetto note for an unexpectedly long time (especially for the drummer!), until you realize it has seamlessly turned into a sustained guitar note.
