Feb. 15th, 2006 01:27 pmJust got off a support call with a customer who had implemented a web service and added its URL to our product's list of "extensions." He couldn't figure out why his code wasn't being invoked.
We pointed out to him as gently as we could that he can't just make up the name and argument list of an arbitrary function, that he has to read the documentation and override one of the thirty or so functions that we document as extension entry points.
That took 15 minutes to penetrate.
