Apr. 11th, 2006 10:14 pmFor years, we've kashered our counters for pesach by pouring boiling water onto them. This year, we found out that our rabbi has ruled that a steamer is just as good, if not better (since when the steam hits the surface, it's hotter than 100C, which can't really be said for the water that cools off as soon as you remove the kettle from the stove). And we don't have puddles of boiling hot water running down the sides of our cabinets. So much quicker, easier, and less painful. Yay!
