Costume/props ideas?
Jan. 10th, 2007 03:37 pmFor our company post-holiday-season party, six of us have formed a sextet to perform two a cappella pieces: Sixteen Tons and a barbershop arrangement of Give My Regards to Broadway. We are calling ourselves the Bitstream Half-Tones but we're hoping to come up with some sort of visual flourish. Since this is an ad hoc group and since we want to be able to hang out at the party for the remainder of the time, we don't want to invest in a full uniform and we want something that can be donned for the five minutes we perform and then not worried about the rest of the day.
We've considered red carnations (not appropriate for Sixteen Tons and not something that can be ignored until we're ready to go on), caps or hats (not everyone has a hat of the same style), bowties (not everyone has, and most of the ones we do have are tux-style black). Any other ideas?
