Thanks to Wednesday's xkcd, I re-read Ender's Game yesterday while still sick in bed. And I must say: that book reads entirely differently when you're the parent of a precocious smaller-than-average just-shy-of-six-years-old boy who's obsessed with space and chasing down bad guys.
