I look forward to hearing fun stories, and maybe even meeting some of you while you're in town. If there's a puzzle party Saturday night which I can crash, please give me a holler.
Saturday night pretty much everyone's going to be at MIT doing the hunt. If you're not on a team, then it will probably be difficult to crash anything. You can see here for estimates of when the hunt might end. But it's highly unlikely that it will finish before Saturday night.
There will be Arisia stuff going on Sat night, if you're Jones-ing for geeks.
One of Spelvin's posts led me to believe that there would likely be some sort of in-hunt gathering at some point, like the cocktail party two years ago (?) when Squonk sang....
It's not that I'm "Jonesing for geeks," it's that I'm hoping to see people that I "know" from online but (almost) never see in person. All my Arisia-going friends are local.
This doesn't help with the seeing people from far away, but we (HubKrewe) should have more minicons, or parties, or dinner-mobs.
You could come to the Mystery Hunt wrapup meeting, whenever that is (Sunday night or Monday, generally). It'll spoil all the puzzles for you, but you'll get to see people and there are usually groups who go out to eat afterwards.
