This morning, Tani accompanied R to her school, and Alissa accompanied M to hers.

They each had a good time. Alissa (reports Heather) was able to participate pretty fully in the tefillot (morning prayers) at M's kindergarten class. Tani took a few moments to adjust to a Hebrew-speaking classroom, but did fine as well.

We then went to a local art store in the mercaz (strip mall, basically) a few blocks from here, right upstairs from the Burgers Bar. We got many of the things on our to-buy list.

Then we drove back to the German Colony for lunch. Another great restaurant, Cafe Cafe, for a two-hour relaxed and extravagant lunch. Then some window shopping, and back to Efrat. The kids are playing outside right now, enjoying their last few hours together. H and I went to the mercaz in the next area over, Dekel, where she bought some nice hats. And now we're doing our final adjustments to our packing, printing out boarding passes, backing up the pictures on this computer, and preparing for dinner.

Our flight leaves a little past midnight, and we're scheduled to arrive in Boston midday Tuesday.

So this is probably my final post from Israel. Thank you all for your comments; it's been great feeling like you're sharing this amazing experience with us. I apologize for my seeming overuse of the word "amazing" for the last two weeks, but I think it was apt every time I used it. This has been an unparalleled experience. We're sorry to see it end, but we know that too much of a good thing will cloy, and we are all starting to feel a little homesick. So, l'hitraot to Medinat Yisrael; we look forward to our next visit!
