A backformation I shall now propose
Apr. 24th, 2007 10:08 amThe sun has broken through, huzzah! Huzzah!
The croci tentatively poke ther heads
Up, through the mulch, to ask if spring has come.
Two weeks, or maybe three, the weather was
Quite dreadful: cloudy, chilly, drizzly, dark.
What noun exists to name that state? There's none
That captures it quite rightly, I'm afraid.
And so herewith I venture to propose
That as those days can aptly be described
Succinctly by the adjective "dismal,"
And as 11C defines "-al"
As "of, relating to..." then surely I
Am justified in shouting out with glee:
"The dism's over! Spring has come at last!"
