Too many projects, too many interests. What am I up to?

Bible Bystanders Recording "Hush, Puppies" tomorrow night; have a trio lined up to record "Dad's Boat" over the summer. No recent progress on other songs.
Pesukei d'Zimrah No recent progress. Summer plans are to whip the piano-vocal score for Part IV into shape and start shopping that around. Perhaps I'll try to get some folks together to make demo recordings of some of the easier movements.
I'll write for you... I have sketches for the two songs that I'm writing for the people who sent me lyrics. I hope to get those done by the end of July
My Dad's music I'm transcribing a piano piece that my Dad has written over many years. It's slow going but I'm making decent progress on that.
My Siddur I'm proofreading and test-davenning with "Prototype 2." I hope to be ready for a limited-run "בּ release" by Tishre. (Get it, "בּ release" instead of "Beta release"?)
Puzzle construction Was part of a team that submitted a joint construction to the NYT; I'm the only newbie on the team and it was a great learning experience. (We don't expect to hear back for a few months.) I have a few other ideas that I need to find time to work on.
Life organization Been feeling a bit overwhelmed again, which means it's time to ratchet up my organization tools for dealing with email, contact lists, to do lists, financial recordkeeping, etc. (Every two years or so I discover that my increasing needs outstrip my current toolset.)
Daf Yomi Completely off track. Sigh. Perhaps I'll get back to blogging [livejournal.com profile] megillah2a soon.

Have you ever checked out Getting Things Done? It's got a lot of avid fans especially among tech geeks (including me).

I've come into contact with GTD (I read Lifehacker pretty regularly) and it seems pretty compatible with my list-of-lists way of maintaining priority queues on my life.

The big obstacle that I see with GTD is that there are so many tools (both online and paper) for implementing GTD in one's life, and most of them seem like, well, maybe not overkill per se but overinvestment in a System for the System's sake. Which seems to me like the opposite of what GTD preaches --- that is, most of these tools require a heavy (initial) time investment with disproportionately small payoff.

I haven't been able to suss out which changes actually make sense. Suggestions?

I guess I'm glad that I'm not a project. ;-P

Maybe he should build a robot version of you to do the laundry when you get tired.
