NYT puzzles
Oct. 21st, 2007 03:47 pmI still wish the NY Times wouldn't use up valuable op-ed space for the delightful compound puzzles from the fine folks at Puzzability. Nevertheless, I did today's puzzle and it was fun. It didn't look like a FURNACE to me, but hey, that's what backsolving's for. And I'm not sure if there's a hidden message in RAMBO LEAPT, UPSET FATAL NIECE, PARES. But hey, that's what it said.
Friday at work, I mused aloud that the NYT Friday and Saturday puzzles have given me more trouble than usual lately, and I was wondering if they were getting harder or if I was getting stupider. Then came Patrick Berry's puzzle in yesterday's Times, and I don't want to know anyone else's time because I broke 15 minutes on a Saturday and I don't want you to tell me that it was easy. :-)
And finally, a note on today's NYT diagramless. For those who were wondering what this post in XWP was about, now it can be told.

Oh, and nobody tell my mom that I forgot to clean up behind myself. :-X
