Yay, Election Day!

Tani eagerly got up fifteen minutes early so we could stop off at the polls on the way to school. He got to feed my ballot into the scanner, and on the way out we walked over to the wall and examined the all-zeros printout with the election commission representatives' signatures. We discussed secret ballots, vote-buying, optical-scan ballots with manual recount (yay Newton!), why touch-screen voting is eeeeeevil, and why touch-screen voting provided by Diebold is reeeeeeeely reeeeeeeely evil the greatest service to democracy since Athens invented the pebble.
