Although my taxes were done a month ago, I had a large check going to Uncle Sam, so I waited until today to mail them. Post Office opened at 7:30; I got there at 7:15 and was first on line. By 7:30 the line was about 20 people long. Their computers were slow and balky, and it took ten minutes (and a supervisor to help clear an error code) to mail four returns. I'm so glad I got there early!

Since [livejournal.com profile] abbasegal reminded me, here's a quick simplified notation of my melody for Psalm 136, which is part of the traditional seder text but for which most people lack a catchy tune. If I have time before Pesach I might notate all the verses, since the syllabification isn't always obvious.
