The rest of our day, in handy bullet-point format

• Left home at 9am, on schedule. Arrived Honey Pot Orchards a few minutes before they opened at 10am. Got the sixth-closest parking spot and no line to pay for our bags and tickets.
• Spent a wonderful hour picking apples. (See previous post.) Kids climbed ladders, learned how to select a good apple, how to carefully remove it from the tree, etc.
• Hayride. Hedge maze. Kids had a blast. Tunnel maze (sans adults). Kids had a super duper blast.
• Saw Kamenses and Mirvis-Galpers. Yay, friends!
• Picnic lunch.
• Came home. Posted to LJ. :-)
• Loaded all four bikes on/in the car and drove to the Upper Charles River Reservation. 45 minute circle Bridge St. to just before Galen St. on south side; back on north side. Kids learned lane-sharing etiquette. All had a blast.
• I biked home from there, picking up dinner fixings on the way home. (Salmon and potatoes.)
• Kids bought ice cream from the truck that just drove by as a "last day of summer" treat.
• Will watch Return of the Jedi with the kids while dinner cooks and gets eaten, and then they will go to bed.

I feel satisfied and happy.
