We went to New Hampshire Sun-Tue for a brief vacation. (So I'll be catching up on LJ in dribs and drabs.) We had a lovely time.

Story Land was as nice as people kept telling us it would be; once we were there I did remember having gone once as a kid. We went on pretty much each ride once. Alissa did very well, although the flume ride terrified her. Tani loved the pneumatic Nerf-ball cannons. [Yeah, they probably weren't Nerf brand.]

And it was nice being at an amusement park that wasn't trying to rip us off at every opportunity. Bags of Chips Ahoy cookies were 75 cents. All rides were included in the basic admission. They had a picnic area (yes, inside the park) for people like us who had brought our own lunches.

The North Conway Scenic Railroad was scenic. It was nice to sit for an hour as a family, watching the scenery roll by and mooing at the livestock as we went.

I'm glad you enjoyed the trip. We have many fond memories of Story Land. A's outgrown it, but went on the PolarCoaster several times on his last trip.

We had some very hot days there and it was nice that the water bottles were not exhorbitant.
