Let's say someone with not enough free time on his hands had an idea for a web-based word game, and needed a word list akin to the OSPD for automated adjudication. What would be a good source of a reliable, non-encumbered list?
The ENABLE wordlist is public domain -- I don't know whether any of the OSPD lists are (even though at least one is "freely" available). The link to ENABLE on the sourceforge page above does not work, but I have a copy if you would like one. I believe the readily available NI2 list is public domain, but about 1/3 of the words in it are not very cromulent by today's standards.
