rhuMy initial reactions to pictures from this morning's Project Runway presentation
Laura: Eh. Too revealing and yet boring at the same time.
Uli: It's definitely Uli's look! Pictures 9 and 10 from this set are, I think, the kind of sexy that Laura was aspring to and missed. Picture 11 shows that Uli can tone it down without losing her Ur-Uliness.
Michael: Picture 12 felt like we've seen it before; 13 was very nice, 14 looked too costume-y to me. Again, I think Uli got the swimsuit look best.
Jeffrey: Loved 18 and 22, but 19 and 21 looked weird to me, almost like a juvenile trying to dress up sexy and ending up trashy.
I'm surprised by my reactions, and of course this is just a microcosm of the actual show, but based on these photos, I think I'd rank them as Uli, Michael, Jeffrey, Laura. Jeffrey might have edged Michael except that I detest him as a person, and since I'm not actually a judge, I can afford to let my emotions sway me.

Date: 2006-09-15 08:52 pm (UTC)Next week they'll do one more challenge. One of the four will be eliminated. This was all taped in late May/early June. The designers had the summer to work on their collections for today's show. The collections are eight garments entirely at the designer's discretion, with a reasonable but not extravagant budget.
After this week's episode, there'll be a couple of weeks of stalling (a reunion show, a show on the work they did over the summer) while they edit the finale.
Since they haven't aired the last "aufing" yet, they allow all four remaining designers to show at Fashion Week (to prevent spoilers), but whoever is "aufed" this week is inelegible to win --- the finale is edited to maintain the fiction that only the final three actually show at Fashion Week.
