Stupid earworm
Dec. 30th, 2010 09:29 amWe got a Wii for the family for Chanukah, and it came with Super Mario Bros. The kids love it, and over winter break they've been playing whenever we've let them.
Last night, I woke up around 1 AM with the background music for that game on an infinite loop in my brain. I couldn't get back to sleep until I forced myself to think through the C-Major prelude and fugue from the first book of the WTK, then some of the Brandenburgs. (Thank God, as always, for Bach.)
But it's back now. I'm going to have to do some serious deprogramming of my brain.
And I weep for my children.
