Another linguistic observation
Feb. 25th, 2007 09:09 amMy mother was sharing family pictures with the kids this morning, and my 3.5-year-old daughter asked, in regards to one family picture taken before she was born: "Where is me?"
She's perfectly capable of asking "Where am I?" when she doesn't know where her corporeal being is at the moment. But I thought it was fascinating that when she was asking about the location of her avatar, she switched to using "me" as a third-person pronoun.
