Lest I go down in history as a curmudgeon
Nov. 30th, 2006 10:24 amTime to acknowledge people and companies that have done well by me in the past week:
We needed a cabinet for our tiny half-bath, and the only one we could find that would fit was from Linens 'N' Things. It arrived the next day by FedEx and went together very easily -- all the pieces were clearly labeled (including each different type of fastener in a numbered plastic bag). I'm quite pleased.
Staples has an amazing deal this week on SanDisk 2GB Ultra II (meaning fast) SD and CF cards ($40). They were sold out online so I went to my local Staples (store #1) and they were also sold out --- but the manager on duty called another store that the inventory computer said had nine in stock, and they are shipping two of them to me. Kudos to him for taking the time to make a customer happy.
Finally, I really enjoyed tomorrow's NYSun puzzle by

Date: 2006-11-30 03:35 pm (UTC)Last week, they had SanDisk 2GB non-Ultra II SD cards for $30. Since I bought one of those, I doubt I'll be allowed to buy one of the faster ones this week.
