Heading back to Zamir
Nov. 30th, 2006 03:57 pmTuesday night I sat in on the Zamir rehearsal. (My original plan had been to go to this Sunday's open sing of Judas Maccabaeus, but now we're planning to visit my parents instead.) Work has been calming down again, and I thought it would be good to see how I feel about Zamir before I have to make a decision about returning in January.
Short version: The things that bugged me still bug me, and I'll have to put in some effort to stop listening for the things that, as section leader, I've trained myself to listen for. (I can't do anything about them any more and they'll just get me frustrated.) But I've missed the joy of choral singing, and I've missed the camaraderie.
So I'll be back with Zamir, starting Jan. 9
