rhuI think I've mentioned my Bible Bystanders project here before -- a collection of fun songs in various genres telling bible stories from the POV of secondary, tertiary, or completely made-up characters. I've just finished the first round of editing on the lyrics to Dad's Boat, a Gilbert-and-Sullivan-style patter song for Noah's three sons. I also have lyrics for Hush, Puppies (a lullaby sung by a mother dog on the night of the Exodus); I've got to do a bit more work on the lyrics to Build it High, a "Chain Gang"-style song for the builders at Bavel, and Smorgasbord, a song of thanksgiving by the mosquito at the end of the sixth day of Creation, but I'm hoping to have those four songs ready by the end of December.
Anyway, if you'd be interested in looking over my lyrics before I finalize these pieces, please respond to this post and I'll add you to a filter. You don't need to know the biblical sources, you don't even need to suggest specific improvements (although of course that's welcome), but I'd like detached feedback on where there are problems.
