My Stery Hunt -- Overall Impressions
Jan. 21st, 2008 09:43 pmGood:
Some beautiful puzzles. Enough variety in difficulty that there was usually something that we could make progress on.
Delightful teammates.
Didn't embarrass myself -- got to play with the big kids and held my own. Made a real contribution to the team.
Don't have to write next year's Hunt. :-)
Got to see and hang out with a bunch of NPL folks.
Disappointments:
Didn't get to see enough NPL folks, nor hang out with the ones I did see for long enough.
Only came in contact with about ten percent of the puzzles that were out there. You were right,
hathor, that puzzle you mentioned was right up my alley. Pity I didn't see it until after the Hunt was over. Never saw "Subservient Chicken" (and then embarrassed myself by asking
qaqaq at the wrapup which had been his favorite puzzle).
There were too many puzzles that we missed solving by inches, which was frustrating.
