P&A status update

rhuMade a little more progress today:
• Naked Cruise -- double-checked and found one error, but other than that no progress.
• Nanette's Curse -- last night I Googled a lot of stuff right before bed. This morning when I awoke I knew what to do with that info. Done.
• Nannies Chained -- Finally had a chance to start this one; it fell quickly. (Nice.)
So far, so good.
Four puzzles remain tantalizingly Nearly Complete: 976-CLUE, Naked Cruise, and New Chapter, and Nightmare Cadillac. In all four cases, I have all (or almost all) the inputs (in 976-CLUE I'm missing three) and I simply haven't had the aha! moment yet. Grrr. If this keeps up, I'm going to develop a Nervous Complex about Nasty Conundrums that Need Cleverness.
I have 11 words for NC-17, which ought to be slightly more than half. (Of course, some of them may be wrong.) You'd think that would be enough to at least start making progress on the meta, but so far my attempts aren't getting far enough for me to feel confident that I'm doing the right thing.
