There seems to be an LJ tradition of blogging happy birthday messages to one's confreres.

That's not exactly my style.

So instead, I'd like to take a moment to thank [livejournal.com profile] mabfan for teaching me most of what I know about Gilbert & Sullivan, for being there at 7:05 every morning at the 75th Ave. E station (fourth car, first door), for being my sounding board through high school, for being part of the original MIT G&SP gang, for accompanying me on the post-collegiate journey towards increased observance, for being our best man when [livejournal.com profile] introverte and I got married, and for remaining a wonderful friend for over two decades.

Thank you!

(Just FYI, it's not exactly my style either, but it is [livejournal.com profile] gnomi's, so we're alwats covered.)

Two decades? Wow.

You don't think that counts as a happy birthday message? :-)
