rhuAm I confused? 24D appears to be DOGGONED for "Blamed" and I'm not sure I can make that connection in one hop. I mean, sure, "blamed" and "damned" could connect as past imperfect verbs, and "damned" and "doggoned" would connect as past participles. But I can't come up with a sentence in which "blamed" and "doggoned" can replace one another. What am I missing?

Date: 2006-07-14 10:10 pm (UTC)DOGGONED was my last entry in that puzzle as well. I think {Blasted} would have been a better clue choice.
