I have jury duty tomorrow. On the off chance that I get impaneled, it just occurred to me that there's probably a techinah out there for asking Hashem that one should rule correctly and that one not accidentally pervert justice. Anyone have a source? I recall something along those lines from Mesechet Berakhot but I may not have time to find it tonight.... And my rabbi is on vacation....

Except that you're ruling according to MA state law, rather than Torah law, so I'm not completely sure you can avoid perversion of justice.

Personally my techinah would be that I not be impaneled.

Oh, now, don't sell yourself short. Just cuz you (possibly) couldn't hit the broad side of a barn doesn't mean you couldn't shoot me at this point (and until the OB fulfills the Jesse-Jacksonesque "if you don't PROduce, I will INduce." And as we all know, you don't need legal papers to get a gun: the going price is a $200 Target gift card.
