Non-nucular family
Feb. 4th, 2007 09:06 amTani (my 5+3/4-year-old son) says SIRC-lee-ur for "circular" and par-TIK-lee-ur for "particular". Somehow I feel that this conserves parity in the universe.
And Alissa (my 3+1/2-year-old daughter) wrote her name for the first time this morning. Her esses need work :-)
Edited to add: a link to her name

Date: 2007-02-06 04:30 pm (UTC)My twin boys (just turned five) have developed the linguistic habit of pronouncing words that end in "u-lance" or "u-lar as "lee-ance" or "lee-arr", as in "amb-lee-ance" and "reg-lee-ar". When I call them on it they can and do pronounce the words correctly, but will switch back to their pronunciation immediately.
Now I'm wondering if this sort of thing is common or predictable. Must research.
